According to the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa & Associated Disorders, eating disorders have one of the highest mortality rates of any mental illness, making it crucial to raise awareness and support those affected. The Kahm Center is proud to sponsor this year's NEDA Walk in Burlington, an event aimed at raising awareness and funds for individuals and families impacted by eating disorders.

The walk takes place on Sunday, April 30th, with registration beginning at 10:00 AM at Main Street Landing. The walk will officially begin at 11:00 AM.

By sponsoring the NEDA Walk in Burlington, we hope to create a positive impact on our community and encourage conversation about the challenges faced by those with eating disorders. Our goal is to help break down the stigma surrounding these conditions and provide support to people in their journey toward recovery.

Nick Kahm, a former philosophy faculty member at St. Michael's College in Colchester, VT, transitioned from academia to running the Kahm Clinic with his mother. He started the clinic to train dietitians in using Metabolic Testing and Body Composition Analysis for helping people with eating disorders. Now, he is enthusiastic about expanding eating disorder treatment through the Kahm Center for Eating Disorders in Vermont.
