Our next Alumni Groups will be held on the following dates:
June 5, 2024
July 10, 2024
August 7, 2024

At the Kahm Center, we take pride in our ongoing commitment to supporting our program alumni on their journey to lasting recovery. Our monthly Alumni Group provides a valuable opportunity for past Kahm Center patients to reconnect with their clinicians, foster a sense of community with fellow alumni, celebrate their recovery achievements, and find strength through shared experiences.

The Kahm Center Alumni Group serves as a continuation of the work begun during treatment, offering a supportive environment where individuals can maintain their progress with the guidance of our dedicated team. By staying connected with the Kahm Center community, alumni have access to a network of peers who understand the challenges and triumphs of recovery firsthand.

Moreover, the Alumni Group serves as a platform for alumni to stay informed about the latest developments at the Kahm Center and explore additional resources or support options as needed. Whether alumni are seeking ongoing support or simply want to stay connected, the Alumni Group provides a welcoming space for all.

For Kahm Center Alumni interested in participating or learning more about our Alumni Group, we invite you to reach out to Tara at admin@kahmcenter.com for further information and to RSVP. IOP and PHP at the Kahm Center

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The Kahm Center for Eating Disorders in Burlington, Vermont, offers specialized programs like the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) to address the complex challenges of eating disorders. Designed as a structured yet flexible treatment option, IOP provides individuals with the support and resources they need to progress toward lasting recovery.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a structured treatment program designed for individuals who require more support than traditional outpatient services but do not need the level of monitoring provided in an inpatient setting. At the Kahm Center, our IOP offers a comprehensive approach to treatment, incorporating various therapeutic modalities and support services.

IOP at the Kahm Center offers several benefits for individuals struggling with eating disorders:

  • Flexibility: IOP accommodates daily routines such as work, school, and family commitments, allowing individuals to receive treatment while maintaining their responsibilities.
  • Real-World Application: Participants can practice newly learned coping skills in their everyday environment, supported by a dedicated treatment team.
  • Peer Interaction: Group therapy sessions foster understanding, empathy, and mutual support among participants, enhancing the recovery process.
  • Comprehensive Care: Our IOP includes individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, nutritional counseling, and other essential components tailored to individual needs.
  • Cost-Effective: IOP provides intensive care without the overnight stay costs associated with residential facilities, making it a more accessible option for many individuals.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), also known as day treatment, offers a higher level of care than traditional outpatient services while allowing individuals to return home outside of treatment hours. PHP is recommended for those who require more intensive support than IOP but do not need 24-hour supervision in an inpatient setting.

PHP at the Kahm Center provides a balanced approach to treatment, offering the following advantages:

  • Close Supervision: Patients receive close medical supervision while participating in treatment during the day, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Comprehensive Treatment: PHP includes individual therapy, group therapy, nutritional counseling, supported meals, and psychiatric support, addressing the multifaceted aspects of eating disorders.
  • Flexibility: Patients can return home outside of treatment hours, maintaining their daily routines and responsibilities while receiving intensive support.
  • Structured Environment: PHP offers a structured treatment environment where individuals can develop healthy eating habits and coping skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Metabolic Testing and Body Composition Analysis: Our PHP program includes metabolic testing and body composition analysis to provide personalized care and monitor progress effectively.
